One can see the bedroom entrance which is now the office. Although the client simply wanted to move the office into this bedroom to enjoy the larger room I suggested that they would benefit from a separate library area so removing the significant (and growing) amount of reference material from the main office itself, which now gains a relaxing seating / meeting area.
I proposed this addition to utilise the vast amount of space that was the 1st floor landing.
The View from outside is much the same as the original, apart from the alcoves. The wall has actually been brought forward some 2 metres! Dado has been matched and continued and architrave and skirting matched.
The landing hardly seems smaller due to the generous proportions of this house (although this is a poor picture)
The Project included installing new radiators around the house, moving and installing new lighting, extending and modifying network infrastructure, putting in extra power sockets and finally decoration and the office move itself.
During the project the cistern in the loo failed so that was added to the list of tasks.
Project on time and to budget.
